Where is Chabad?
We are in Chester, Maryland. Please contact us before visiting and we will share the exact address and help you plan.
Can I join a minyan?
We do not have a regular weekday minyan. We do have a WhatsApp group to coordinate, and sometimes enough people gather for a minyan. Historically, Chol Hamoed has been a more likely time, with more visitors around.
Can we come for Shabbos?
Please reach out ahead of time about Shabbat services or meals. There are currently no hotels within walking distance of Chabad, and nearby Airbnb options are very limited. We are happy to share what we know before you book.
Two hotel options are Hyatt Place Kent Narrows & Marina and Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay in Cambridge. Neither is within walking distance of Chabad.
Is Kosher food available?
Kosher options are limited, so please bring the food you will need. Local supermarkets carry many standard kosher products, but for a larger selection, shop before you arrive. There is currently no dedicated kosher restaurant on Kent Island.
Is there a Mikvah?
There is currently no Mikvah on Kent Island. Nearby options include Chabad of Howard County (about 50 minutes by car), Chabad of Wilmington (about an Hour and a half), and Chabad in Ocean City (about two hours). Please contact them directly for arrangements.
What is there to do nearby?
Try Terrapin Nature Park, the Cross Island Trail, Kent Narrows, Queenstown Premium Outlets, or boating, kayaking and fishing. Historic Annapolis is just across the bridge.
